Abstract
El presente estudio, está orientado a determinar las Eficiencias de Conducción, Distribución y Operación del Sistema de Riego del Canal Lateral 5, que sirve para irrigar las áreas de las Comisiones de Regantes Lateral 5A y Lateral 5B de la Junta de Usuarios del Sub Distrito de Riego Chao. En tal sentido se realizó, el inventario la red de canales, estructuras de control y medición del sistema de riego, así mismo se aforo los caudales de entrada y salida de los canales a fin de cuantificar la Eficiencia de Conducción y Distribución, a partir de las cuales se determinó la Eficiencia de Operación del Sistema. Bajo las condiciones actuales de la infraestructura de riego y el nivel de desarrollo alcanzado en la distribución del agua se ha determinado una Eficiencia de Operación promedio de 81 % para la Comisión de Regantes Lateral 5A y de 78 % para la Comisión de Regantes Lateral 5B, obteniéndose así una Eficiencia de Operadón Ponderada de 79% para el Sistema de Riego del Canal Lateral5. La Eficiencia de Operación del Sistema de Riego del Canal Lateral 5 depende en gran medida del estado de conservación de los canales y de la infraestructura en general. Son los canales laterales de tercer orden, en definitiva, los que determinan el valor de dicha eficiencia debido al mal estado de conservación en el que se encuentran. Así mismo otro de los factores que influyen en forma negativa en los valores de las eficiencias, aunque en menor cuantía, es cierto desorden que se produce en la distribución del agua por la falta de un seguimiento adecuado del plan de cultivo y riego. El grado de desarrollo alcanzado en la operación del Sistema de Riego del Canal Lateral5 es "FUNCIONAL", es decir: Se realiza una operación aceptable del sistema de riego en la captación, distribución y uso del agua disponible. Por lo general los usuarios reciben el agua que les corresponde y están relativamente informados sobre sus derechos y obligaciones. Sin embargo incurren en cierto descuido con el mantenimiento de los canales e infraestructura de riego en general

The present study, there is orientated to determine the Efficiencies of Conduction, Distribution and Operation from the Irrigation System ofthe Lateral Grutter 5, which is used to irrigate the areas ofthe Famme's Commissions Lateral 5A and Lateral 5B from Group ofthe Users ofthe Sub District oflrrigation Chao. To this respect it was realized, the inventory of grutter's the network and structures of control and measurement of the Irrigation System and the measurement of the wealths of entry and exit of the gruters in order to quantify the Efficiency of Conduction and Distribution, from which there decided the Efficiency of Operation of the System. Under the current conditions of the infrastructure of irrigation and the level of development reached in the distribution of the water there has decided an Efficiency of average Operation of 81 % for the Lateral Famers Commission 5A and of 78 % for the Lateral Famers Commission 5B, thereby obtaing an Efficiency of Operation Considered of79% for the Irrigation System ofthe Lateral Grutter 5. The Efficiency of Operation of the Irrigation System of the Lateral Grutter 5 is in direct relation with the condition of conservation of the grutters and of the infrastructure in general. They are the grutters of the third order, definitively, those who determine the value of the mentioned efficiency due to the poor state of conservation in which they are. Also another factors adversely affecting the values of the efficiencies, although minor is a disorder that in the distribution of the water by the lack of a adequate monitoring ofthe plan of culture and irrigation. The development reached in the operation ofthe Irrigation System ofthe Lateral Gruter 5 is "FUNCTIONAL", in ather words: there is made an acceptable operation of the Irrigation System in the captation, distribution and use ofthe available water. In general users receive their water and they are relatively informed about their rights and obligations. However incur sorne neglect the maintenance of grutters and irrigation infrastructure in general.
