Abstract
(Trujillo) a 2645 m.s.n.m. (Otuzco) para la ejecución del experimento.
ABSTRACT The present research work was carried out in the district and province of Otuzco, La Libertad region, from May to August 2019. The objective of the research was to determine the effect of the concentration of worms on the population growth of Eisenia foetida “Roja Californiana ”. The treatments were: T1: 10 worms / 20 dm3; T2: 20 worms / 20 dm3; T3: 40 worms / 20 dm3 and T4: 80 worms / 20 dm3 of Eisenia foetida. For the distribution of the treatments, a randomized complete block design (BCA) with four treatments and four repetitions was used. The number and weight of juvenile and adult cocones were evaluated 15, 30, 45 and 60 days after sowing. The number and weight of coconut trees showed a direct relationship with the number of worms used at sowing at all sampling times. The number and weight of juveniles did not show a direct relationship with the number of adult worms at sowing, despite the increasing number of coconuts, evidenced by a strong delay in the hatching of cocones under the conditions of Otuzco. A new generation of adult worms was not observed, however, the conservation of the number and weight of the worms used at sowing at all sampling times would indicate a good adaptation of the adult worms after being moved from 70 m a.s.l. (Trujillo) at 2645 m a.s.l. (Otuzco) for the execution of the experiment.
