Abstract
The present quantitative, cross-sectional correlational research was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge in first aid and attitude in first aid in teachers of an educational institution. The sample universe consisted of 38 teachers, according to inclusion criteria. Two instruments were used to collect data. The results obtained were processed in SPSS version 26 and presented in one-dimensional and two-dimensional tables with numerical and percentage frequency. The analysis of the results was carried out taking into account the proposed objectives. The results show that at the level of knowledge according to dimensions, it was obtained that in the dimension concepts about first aid 42% low level, in the hemorrhages and wounds dimension 21% obtained a low level, in fractures, dislocations and sprains 28% presented a medium level, in CPR 18% presented a medium level in choking 25% medium level, in seizures 20% a low level. In the first aid attitude variable, it was found that 63% of teachers had a negative attitude. In relation to the two variables, the Spearman Brown correlation coefficient was obtained, showing a coefficient of 0.798. This confirms a strong and statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the teachers' attitude towards first aid
