dc.descriptionBackground: The present study descriptive-retrospective-traverse has as objective to determine the characteristics of the utilization of antimicrobial in the service of hospitalization of Neonatology in the Educational Regional Hospital of Trujillo in patients affiliated to the integral assurance of health during the months of october, 2006 - march, 2007. Methods: The studied population was shaped by the medical recipes of the patients hospitalized in the service of Neonatology during the months of October, 2006 – march, 2007. Results: The proportion of the prescription of antimicrobial (PPA) in the Service was 76,66 %. The average of prescription of antimicrobial for hospitalized patient was 2,30. The percentage of antimicrobial of major prescription was 87%. The most consume antimicrobial group they were the penicillins with 25,80 DDP/100 beds – day (Concentration peer to DDP); And those of major cost were the cephalosporins with 53,84%. 92,31% of the prescribed antimicrobial ones belongs to the National Petitonary of Essential Medicines (PNME) and 92,31% is of use restricted according the PNME. Conclusions: The PPA is raised and national is on the reported levels and internationally. The average of antimicrobial by patient is high, The antimicrobial of major prescription were ampicillin, amikacin, cefotaxime and gentamicin. The penicillins were the antimicrobial ones of major consumption and the cephalosporins those of major cost. The major proportion of prescribed ATMs they belong to the PNME and are of use restricted according the PNMEes_ES
dc.description.abstractFundamento: El presente estudio transversal descriptivo retrospectivo, tiene como objetivo determinar las características de la utilización de antimicrobianos en el servicio de hospitalización de Neonatología en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo en pacientes afiliados al seguro integral de salud durante los meses de octubre del 2006 - marzo del 2007. Métodos: La población estudiada estuvo conformada por las recetas médicas de los pacientes hospitalizados en el servicio de Neonatología durante los meses de octubre del 2006 a marzo del 2007. Resultados: La proporción de la prescripción de antimicrobianos (PPA) en el Servicio fue 76,66%. El promedio de prescripción de antimicrobianos por paciente hospitalizado fue 2,30. El porcentaje de antimicrobianos de mayor prescripción fue 87%. El grupo de antimicrobianos más consumidos fueron las penicilinas 25,80 DDP/100 camas-día (concentración igual a DDP) y los de mayor costo fueron las cefalosporinas con 53,84%. El 92,31% de los antimicrobianos prescritos pertenecen al Petitorio Nacional de Medicamentos Esenciales (PNME) y el 92,31% son de uso restringido según el PNME. Conclusiones: La PPA es elevada y se encuentra sobre los niveles reportados nacional e internacionalmente. El promedio de antimicrobianos por paciente es elevado. Los antimicrobianos de mayor prescripción fueron ampicilina, amikacina, cefotaxima y gentamicina. Los aminoglucósidos fueron los antimicrobianos de mayor consumo y las cefalosporinas las de mayor costo. La mayor proporción de ATMs prescritos pertenecen al PNME y son de uso restringidoes_ES
