dc.descriptionThe objective of this research was to evaluate the technological characteristics of the vicuña fiber in relation to its age and sex of the Chaku made in 2014, in the district of Cushuro, la Libertad region. In the wool and fiber laboratory of the UNH, with the OFDA-100, 100 samples were analyzed for the monitoring of fiber diameter (MDF), standard deviation (DE), coefficient of variation (CV), fiber length (LM), yarn fineness (SF), comfort index (ICF), and curvature index (CI). For statistical analysis, the linear additive model and Student's T test were used. An MDF of 14.30 μ for adults greater than that of juveniles of 13.63 μ was determined (p <0.01). It was slightly higher in females 14.04 μ than in males 13.89 μ. LM was higher in juveniles 4.46 cm than in adults 4.07 cm and slightly lower in females 4.17 cm than in males 4.37 cm. The values of DE, CV and SF were the same for sex (p> 0.05). The ICF for juveniles was 99.01% and adults of 99.17% But higher in females 99.23% than in males 98.95% (p <0.05) and for CI significant differences were calculated between categories and between sexes (p <0.05). The coefficients of correlations between MDF-ICF, MDF-IC, ICF-SF, and SF-IC were -0.33 **, -0.45 **, -0.36 ** and -0.44 **. These characteristics have a negative, a medium and highly significant degree of association. It was concluded that, for most of the technological characteristics of the fiber, significant statistical differences between the ages were determined with the exception of DE, CV and ICF and between sexes, statistical differences were not determined except for ICF and CIes_PE
dc.description.abstractEsta investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar las características tecnológicas de la fibra de vicuña en relación a su edad y sexo del Chaku realizado en el 2014, en el caserío de Cushuro, región la Libertad. En el laboratorio de lanas y fibras de la UNH, con el equipo OFDA-100, se analizaron 100 muestras para el monitoreo del diámetro de la fibra (MDF), desviación estándar (DE), coeficiente de variación (CV), longitud de mecha (LM), finura al hilado (SF), índice de confort (ICF), e índice de curvatura (IC). Para el análisis estadístico se utilizaron el modelo aditivo lineal y la prueba T de Student. Se determinaron un MDF de 14,30 μ para los adultos mayor al de los juveniles de 13,63 μ (p<0.01). Fue ligeramente mayor en hembras 14,04 μ que en machos 13,89 μ. La LM fue mayor en juveniles 4,46 cm que en adultos 4,07 cm y ligeramente menor en hembras 4,17 cm que en machos 4,37 cm. Los valores de DE, CV y SF fueron iguales para sexo (p>0,05). El ICF para juveniles fue de 99,01% y adultos de 99,17% pero mayor en hembras 99,23% que en machos 98,95% (p<0,05) y para el IC se calcularon diferencias significativas entre categorías y entre sexos (p<0,05). Los coeficientes de las correlaciones entre MDF-ICF, MDF-IC, ICF-SF, SF-IC fueron de -0,33**, -0,45**, -0,36** y -0,44**. Estas características tienen un negativo, medio y altamente significativo grado de asociación. Se concluye, que para la mayoría de las características tecnológicas de la fibra se determinaron diferencias estadísticas significativas entre las edades a excepción de DE, CV y ICF y entre sexos, no se determinaron diferencias estadísticas a excepción de ICF y IC.es_PE
