Abstract
N° 031-2010-SA.
The main objective of this work was to evaluate the Quality of Water for Human Consumption of the Populated Center of Chetilla, Department of Cajamarca. To this end, monthly monitoring was carried out at three sampling points of the public network of eight hamlets in the District of Chetilla between the months of January and July 2023. The samples were analyzed with teams from the Executive Directorate of Environmental Health in the environments of the Food and Water Laboratory. The results showed that the values of total and fecal coliform bacteria exceed the maximum permissible limits; while the values of free residual chlorine are below the established minimum, while turbidity exceeds the maximum permissible limits in the months of February and March due to the rains that affect the area and that through runoff reaches the water bodies from where the Administrative Boards of Sanitation Services (JASS) collect water; concluding that the quality of the water for human consumption of the Chetilla populated center is not suitable for human consumption, according to D.S. No. 031-2010-SA.
