dc.descriptionABSTRACT The main purpose of this analytic, observational and cross-sectional research was to determine the prevalence of oral diseases and affections in coca farmers from Compín District, Province of Gran Chimú, La Libertad Region, 2018. This study was realized using the CPO-D Index for the determination of the individual index and the group index of lesions or absence of dental pieces. We also used the WHO Community Periodontal Index to determine the number of people with periodontal disease and the need for treatment of patients. Oral Pathologies were evaluated to determine the presence of oral and maxillofacial tissue and organ pathologies. We analyzed 102 patients; 78 Men and 24 Women, regular coca growers living in the Compín District, Province of Gran Chimú, Department of La Libertad.es_PE
dc.description.abstractRESUMEN La presente investigación de tipo descriptivo - observacional de corte transversal tuvo como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de enfermedades y afecciones bucodentales en chacchadores de coca del Distrito de Compín, Provincia de Gran Chimú, Región La Libertad, 2018. Este estudio se realizó, utilizando el Índice CPO-D para la determinación del índice individual y el índice grupal de lesiones o ausencia de piezas dentales. También se utilizó el Índice Periodontal Comunitario de la OMS para determinar el número de personas con enfermedad periodontal y la necesidad de tratamiento de los pacientes. Se evaluaron las Patologías Orales para determinar la presencia de patologías de tejidos y órganos bucales y maxilofaciales. Se analizaron 102 pacientes; 78 Varones y 24 Mujeres, chacchadores de coca habituales que residen en el Distrito de Compín, Provincia de Gran Chimú del Departamento de La Libertad.es_PE
