Abstract
La investigación permite identificar factores que influyen en la eficiencia del docente universitario, aspecto clave para mejorar la calidad educativa. Comprender estos factores contribuye a diseñar estrategias que optimicen la enseñanza y beneficien el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Por lo que se planteó como objetivo identificar los factores asociados a la eficiencia de la actividad del docente universitario, aplicando la regresión logística ordinal en una muestra de estudiantes y docentes de una Universidad Privada de Trujillo en el año 2022. Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo de alcance correlacional y un diseño no experimental de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 112 estudiantes y 42 docentes, seleccionados bajo criterios de inclusión específicos. Se utilizaron cuestionarios para medir los factores pedagógicos, humanos e ideológicos que influyen en la eficiencia docente, y se aplicó el análisis multivariante de regresión logística ordinal con el software SPSS. Los principales resultados indicaron que, desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes, la eficiencia en los factores pedagógicos, humanos e ideológicos fue considerada principalmente de nivel medio (46.4%), mientras que los docentes percibieron su eficiencia como alta (52.4%). La investigación identificó que los factores pedagógicos y humanos eran los más influyentes en la eficiencia docente, según los docentes. Por su parte, los estudiantes enfatizaron los factores ideológicos. Se concluye que los resultados muestran una discrepancia en la percepción de la eficiencia entre estudiantes y docentes, lo que resalta la importancia de mejorar las estrategias pedagógicas y fortalecer los valores profesionales en los docentes para mejorar la eficiencia de la enseñanza universitaria.
The research allows us to identify factors that influence the efficiency of university teachers, a key aspect to improve the quality of education. Understanding these factors contributes to design strategies that optimize teaching and benefit student learning. Therefore, the objective was to identify the factors associated with the efficiency of the university teacher's activity, applying ordinal logistic regression in a sample of students and teachers of a private university in Trujillo in the year 2022. A quantitative approach of correlational scope and a non-experimental cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 112 students and 42 teachers, selected under specific inclusion criteria. Questionnaires were used to measure the pedagogical, human and ideological factors that influence teaching efficiency, and multivariate analysis of ordinal logistic regression was applied with SPSS software. The main results indicated that, from the students' perspective, efficiency in pedagogical, human and ideological factors was considered mainly medium (46.4%), while teachers perceived their efficiency as high (52.4%). The research identified that pedagogical and human factors were the most influential in teaching efficiency, according to teachers. On the other hand, students emphasized ideological factors. It is concluded that the results show a discrepancy in the perception of efficiency between students and teachers, which highlights the importance of improving pedagogical strategies and strengthening professional values in teachers to improve the efficiency of university teaching.
