Abstract
The main objective of the research was to optimize the hoisting system to increase production and reduce operating costs in the artisanal mining company La Soledad in Pataz, 2023. The methodology used was a non-experimental, descriptive and applicative design. The population consisted of the artisanal company "Comunidad Campesina La Soledad" and the sample consisted of level 2780 of the mining company. The integrity of the data was guaranteed by the corroboration of specialists in the area. The results revealed that, under the current conditions of the hoisting system, a 5 HP winch and a skip of 0.3 m3 is used, which works in the front of the incline and in a wing of the pit, which produces the extraction of 15.1 tons per guard. By optimizing the hoisting system through the implementation of a 15 HP winch and a 0.63 m3 skip, the extraction capacity increased significantly, reaching 19.2 tons per guard, since it works on the face of the incline and on the two wings of the pit, reflecting a 27% increase in extraction production. At the same time, operating costs experienced a significant decrease, going from 13.27 USD/ton to 9.31 USD/ton, which represents a reduction of 29.84% and, therefore, a decrease in the monthly operating cost of 10.79%. Finally, it is concluded that the optimization of the hoisting system proved to be an effective strategy to increase material extraction production and reduce operating costs at La Soledad artisanal mining company.
