Abstract
The research was a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional correlational study that was developed seeking to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and preventive practices on pressure injuries of nurses who care for patients in a prone position. in the intensive care service of a hospital. Trujillo 2023. The sample population consisted of 25 nursing professionals who work in the service and agreed to participate in the research. Data collection was carried out through a survey to answer a questionnaire on the level of knowledge through direct observation to identify compliance with preventive actions; The information was then processed using the SPPS statistical program version 26; The results show that 88% of nurses have a high level of knowledge; In relation to preventive practices for pressure injuries, 92% carry them out adequately and 8% are deficient. It is concluded that there is a significant statistical relationship between the variables studied by the results of Chi square = 15.942 p = 0.000
