| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio, de investigación fue de orientación cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal, cuyo objetivo fue Identificar la asociación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento del personal de enfermería con la práctica que brindan al paciente con catéter venoso central, en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. Se consideró el universo muestral conformado por 18 enfermeras. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron dos instrumentos: Formulario sobre el nivel de conocimiento y Lista de verificación de Prácticas del cuidado de catéter venoso central, para determinar el tipo de asociación que existe entre las variables, se utilizó la Prueba exacta de Fisher que mide la asociación entre dos variables; considerando que existen evidencias suficientes de significación estadística si la probabilidad de equivocarse es menor o igual al 5 por ciento (p≤0.05. Los resultados señalan que, el 50 % tienen un conocimiento bueno y el 50 % nivel regular. Así mismo, los hallazgos evidencian que el 66.7% de enfermeras realizan prácticas apropiadas y el 33.3% prácticas inapropiadas. | dc.description.abstract | The present research study was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional correlational, whose objective was to identify the association that exists between the level of knowledge of the nursing staff with the practice they provide to the patient with a central venous catheter, in the Unit. of Intensive Care of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. The sample universe was considered to be made up of 18 nurses. Two instruments were used to collect data: Form on the level of knowledge and Checklist of Central Venous Catheter Care Practices, to determine the type of association that exists between the variables, the Fisher exact test was used, which measures the association between two variables; considering that there is sufficient evidence of statistical significance if the probability of making a mistake is less than or equal to 5 percent (p≤0.05. The results indicate that 50% have good knowledge and 50% have a regular level. Likewise, the findings show that 66.7% of nurses perform appropriate practices and 33.3% inappropriate practices. It is concluded that there is a statistically significant association between the level of knowledge and the practice of nurses in the care they provide to patients with a central venous catheter. | |
