dc.descriptionObjective: Determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices about Zika in fifth-year secondary students of El Porvenir. Material and methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out, with non-probabilistic sampling, carried out during the month of August 2018. A questionnaire was designed and validated to collect the data. The data is expressed in frequency and proportions tables. Results: Of 108 students, from 15 to 18 years old, with an average age of 16.54 ± 0.89 years, of which 57.4% (62) belonged to the female sex and 42.6% (46) to the male sex; the level of knowledge was 59.26% (64) intermediate. 77.77% (84) of the students believe that Zika infection can be prevented. As for the practices; only 17.59% (19) of students use repellents all day. Conclusion: The fifth-year high school students of the I.E. El Indoamericano possess a level of intermediate knowledge, favorable attitudes and inadequate practices.es_PE
dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Determinar los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas sobre el Zika en estudiantes de quinto año de secundaria de El Porvenir. Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal, con muestreo no probabilístico, realizado durante el mes de agosto del 2018. Se diseñó y validó un cuestionario para la recolección de los datos. Los datos se expresan en tablas de frecuencia y proporciones. Resultados: De 108 estudiantes, de 15 a 18 años, con una edad promedio de 16.54 ± 0.89 años, de los cuales el 57,4% (62) perteneció al sexo femenino y 42,6% (46) al sexo masculino; el nivel de conocimiento fue en 59.26% (64) intermedio. El 77,77% (84) de los estudiantes creen que la infección por Zika se puede prevenir. En cuanto a las prácticas; solo el 17,59% (19) de los estudiantes usan repelentes todo el día. Conclusión: Los estudiantes del quinto año de secundaria de la I.E. El Indoamericano poseen un nivel de conocimiento intermedio, actitudes favorables y prácticas inadecuadas.es_PE
