dc.description.abstractLa investigación se realizó en la granja de cuyes El Lamparero, ubicada en el distrito de Huanchaco, provincia de Trujillo, región La Libertad, con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de gazapos destetados al ser expuestos al gas sevoflurano y su asociación con el grado de nerviosismo. Los animales fueron sometidos a una mezcla de aire con gas sevoflurano al 3%, en una cámara de anestesia durante 5 minutos. De los 50 gazapos monitoreados solo el 6% reaccionaron positivamente, mientras que la mayor parte de ellos, el 94%, fueron negativos. La temperatura corporal promedio de los gazapos positivos fue de 38,9ºC, oscilando entre 38,7 y 39,1°C, mientras que los negativos fueron en promedio de 37,9°C. Los gazapos positivos tuvieron en promedio 142,3 respiraciones por minuto en comparación a los negativos que se determinó 83,7. El número de latidos cardiacos por minuto en los gazapos de reacción positiva al sevoflurano fue en promedio de 205 y los negativos de 119,5. Durante la exposición de los gazapos positivos al gas sevoflurano se observaron temblores musculares en todo el cuerpo. Se concluye que los gazapos positivos son animales nerviosos, y tienen ligeramente mayor temperatura corporal, y 41 % mayor frecuencia respiratoria y cardiaca que los gazapos negativos. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT The investigation was carried out at the El Lamparero guinea pig farm, located in the Huanchaco district, Trujillo province, La Libertad region, with the objective of determining the behavior of weaned guinea pigs in the presence of sevoflurane gas and its association with the degree of nervousness. The animals were subjected to a mixture of air with 3% sevoflurane gas, in an anesthesia chamber for 5 minutes. Of the 50 monitored animals, only 6% reacted positively to sevoflurane gas exposure, while most of them, 94%, were negative. The average body temperature of the positive guinea pigs was 38.9 ° C, ranging between 38.7 and 39.1 ° C, while the negative ones averaged 37.9 ° C. The positive guinea pigs had on average 142.3 breaths per minute compared to the negative ones that were determined 83.7. The number of heart beats per minute in the positive sevoflurane reaction guinea pigs was on average 205 and the negative 119.5. During the exposure of the positive rabbits to sevoflurane gas, muscle tremors were observed throughout the body. It is concluded that positive are nervous, and have slightly higher body temperature, and 41% higher respiratory and heart rate than negative guinea pigs. Only the positive ones presented muscle tremors.
