dc.descriptionThis study investigates this relationship between money and production for the Peruvian economy in the period from 1980 to 2016, within the framework of the quantitative theory of money. The working hypothesis is that the money is neutral in the long term, to corroborate this hypothesis, annual data obtained from the statistical portal of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru is used, which tests whether there is co-integration between the variables under study and an error correction model is estimated. The results show evidence in favor of the quantitative theory of money, which shows that money has no effect on long-term production for the case of the Peruvian economy.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEste estudio investiga esta relación entre dinero y producción para la economía peruana en el periodo de 1980 al 2016, en el marco de la teoría cuantitativa del dinero. La hipótesis de trabajo es que el dinero es neutral en el largo plazo, para corroborar dicha hipótesis se usa datos anuales obtenidos del portal estadístico del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, con los cuales se prueba si existe cointegración entre las variables en estudio y se estima un modelo de corrección de error. Los resultados arrojan evidencia a favor de la teoría cuantitativa del dinero, con lo que se comprueba que el dinero no tiene efecto en la producción a largo plazo para el caso de la economía peruana.es_PE
