dc.descriptionThe objective of this report is to identify the characteristics of potential drug interactions in the 6-C Internal Medicine Service of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital, August-September, 2017. Information was collected by reviewing the medical prescriptions of 61 patients of which 38% were male and 62% were female, ages ranged from 70 to 90 years, with the diseases most frequently being arterial hypertension (HBP), diabetes mellitus (DM) and arrhythmias. The drugs with the highest prescription were: furosemide, digoxin, aspirin, enalapril and others. The drugs with the highest frequency of interaction of greater significance were digoxin-furosemide with 29.41% producing hypokalemia; captopril-furosemide with 22.06%, generating an increase in the hypotensive effect, and the most frequent interaction drugs of lesser significance were aspirin-captopril with 14.86%, generating a decrease in the hypotensive effect, aspirin-furosemide, generating a decrease in the hypotensive effect in hospitalized patients of the Internal Medicine Service 6-C of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital, August-September, 2017es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este informe es identificar las características de las interacciones medicamentosas potenciales en el Servicio de Medicina Interna 6-C del Hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins, agosto-septiembre, 2017. Se recolectó la información revisando las prescripciones médicas de 61 pacientes del cual se observó que el 38% son del sexo masculino y el 62% son del sexo femenino, las edades oscila de 70 a 90 años, siendo las enfermedades con mayor frecuencia la hipertensión arterial (HTA), diabetes mellitus (DM) y arritmias. Los medicamentos de mayor prescripción fueron: furosemida, digoxina, aspirina, enalapril entre otros. Los medicamentos con mayor frecuencia de interacción de mayor significancia fueron digoxina-furosemida con 29,41% produciendo hipokalemia; captopril-furosemida con 22,06% generando incremento del efecto hipotensor y los medicamentos más frecuente de interacción de menor significancia fueron aspirina-captopril con 14,86% generando disminución del efecto hipotensor, aspirina-furosemida generando disminución del efecto hipotensor en pacientes hospitalizados del Servicio de Medicina Interna 6-C del Hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins, agosto-septiembre, 2017es_PE
