Abstract
El presente trabajo de Tesis denominado “Sistema de Información Web para la Integración de la
Gestión de Información del Sistema de Biblioteca de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo” ha
sido establecido como objetivo principal el de integrar la gestión de información del sistema de
biblioteca de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo mediante la implementación de un sistema de
información web. El tipo de investigación según su orientación es aplicada y de acuerdo a su
contrastación es descriptivo pre-experimental.
En la actualidad, la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo cuenta con distintas oficinas de bibliotecas en su
campus conforme a sus especialidades exceptuando la biblioteca central. Existen islas de información
en los sistemas bibliotecarios, convenientemente ya que cada una de estas maneja su propio sistema
de inventariado y gestión de préstamos de libros, revistas y tesis; ciertas bibliotecas manejan sus
datos en sistemas ofimáticos o mediante documentos físicos, esto da lugar a la acumulación de
información sin procesar además de dificultar la visualización de la información mediante datos
estadísticos.
La población de nuestra investigación está centrada en los usuarios de biblioteca: alumnos (internos
o externos), docentes y administrativos. Todos ellos enfocados a la biblioteca de ingeniería debido a
que es la facultad con más alumnos. La muestra está tomada de acuerdo a los indicadores y son 456
usuarios para satisfacción, 25 administrativos bibliotecarios encargados del proceso principal de
biblioteca (préstamos, reportes y clasificación).
Los instrumentos utilizados en la investigación principalmente son: entrevistas, observación y
encuestas.
Los principales resultados son positivos ya que los indicadores han sido comprobados y evaluados
con aprobación de los mismos. La conclusión de esta investigación es que la implementación de un
sistema de información web integra la gestión de información del sistema de biblioteca de la
universidad nacional de Trujillo.
Description
The present thesis work entitled "Web Information System for the Integration of Information
Management of the Library System of the National University of Trujillo" has been established as the
main objective to integrate the information management of the library system of the National University
of Trujillo through the implementation of a web information system. The type of research according to
its orientation is applied and according to its contrast is descriptive pre-experimental.
At present, the National University of Trujillo possesses different libraries in his campus in conformity
with his specialties exempting the central library. There’s islands of information in the systems of
library, due to the fact that each of these handles his own system of inventoried and management of
lending books magazines and thesis; certain libraries handle his information in office systems or by
means of physical documents, this gives place to the accumulation of information without processing
beside impeding the visualization of the information by means of statistical information.
The population of our research is focused on library users: students (internal or external), teachers
and administrators. All of them focused on the engineering library because it is the faculty with the
most students. The sample is taken according to the indicators and there are 456 users for satisfaction,
25 librarian administrators in charge of the main library process (loans, reports and classification).
The instruments used in research are mainly: interviews, observation and surveys.
The main results are positive as the indicators have been tested and evaluated with their approval.
The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of a web information system integrates the
information management of the library system of the Trujillo national university.
