Abstract
En este informe de suficiencia profesional se muestran las definiciones de Jira, herramienta de gestión de proyectos y Xray, una herramienta de gestión de pruebas. Aunque ambas tienen enfoques distintos, al ser integradas y aplicadas en conjunto, influyen en los proyectos ágiles, porque pueden ser usadas por todos los miembros del equipo y no solo de la misma área, es decir, probadores, desarrolladores, Product Owner, Scrum Master. Puede ser entendida y monitoreada sin la necesidad de la elaboración de documentos para mostrar el avance y seguimiento de las pruebas o incidencias. Esto facilita la colaboración y mejora la visibilidad del progreso en tiempo real, contribuyendo a una gestión ágil y efectiva del proyecto. En el capítulo I, se muestran los aspectos generales del tema y de la empresa, conociendo la visión, misión y valores fundamentales. La institución es reconocida por ser uno de los mejores lugares para trabajar en América Latina, destacándose por su compromiso con el desarrollo profesional de sus colaboradores. Pertenece al contexto socioeconómico del sector de tecnologías de la información, especializado en el ámbito de las consultorías tecnológicas y servicios de transformación digital, ofrece soluciones que incluyen desarrollo de software, implementación de tecnologías, consultoría en TI, y servicios de automatización, entre otros. En el capítulo II, se muestra la parte teórica, que aborda los puntos claves que se trabajarán posteriormente con el fin de facilitar su comprensión cuando llegue el momento de su aplicación, como son Jira, Xray, proyectos ágiles, metodología SCRUM, así como también Test, Test de Ejecución, Test Plan y Gherkin, el lenguaje empleado para describir pruebas de software de forma más sencilla, estructurada y legible tanto para desarrolladores como para gerentes de producto, testers o clientes. En el último capítulo, se aborda cómo se han aplicado los conocimientos adquiridos durante la formación universitaria en el ámbito laboral, basándome en mi experiencia profesional. Se presenta un ejemplo concreto que ilustra el uso de Jira Xray en las pruebas, desde la creación de un plan de pruebas hasta la forma en que se enlaza con los ciclos de pruebas. Además, se destacan los beneficios que ofrece Jira Xray, subrayando su importancia y relevancia en mi desempeño diario. Este ejemplo demuestra cómo las herramientas aprendidas en la universidad no solo se integran en el entorno laboral, sino que también optimizan los procesos de prueba, mejoran la eficiencia y contribuyen a la calidad del producto final
Abstract This professional proficiency report shows the definitions of Jira, a project management tool, and Xray, a test management tool. Although both have different approaches, when integrated and applied together, they influence agile projects, because they can be used by all team members and not only from the same area, that is, testers, developers, Product Owner, Scrum Master. It can be understood and monitored without the need to prepare documents to show the progress and monitoring of tests or incidents. This facilitates collaboration and improves visibility of progress in real time, contributing to agile and effective project management. Chapter I shows the general aspects of the topic and the company, knowing the vision, mission and fundamental values. The institution is recognized for being one of the best places to work in Latin America, standing out for its commitment to the professional development of its collaborators. It belongs to the socioeconomic context of the information technology sector, specialized in the field of technological consulting and digital transformation services, offering solutions that include software development, technology implementation, IT consulting, and automation services, among others. In Chapter II, the theoretical part is shown, which addresses the key points that will be worked on later in order to facilitate their understanding when the time comes for their application, such as Jira, Xray, agile projects, SCRUM methodology, as well as Test, Execution Test, Test Plan and Gherkin, the language used to describe software testing in a simpler, more structured and readable way for both developers and product managers, testers or clients. The final chapter discusses how the knowledge acquired during university education has been applied in the workplace, based on my professional experience. A concrete example is presented that illustrates the use of Jira Xray in testing, from creating a test plan to how it is linked to test cycles. Furthermore, the benefits offered by Jira Xray are highlighted, underlining its importance and relevance in my daily performance. This example demonstrates how the tools learned at university are not only integrated into the work environment, but also optimize testing processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to the quality of the final product
