Cambios en el estilo de vida y nutrición durante el confinamiento por SARS-COV-2 en pacientes adultos infectados con VIH

Abstract
Una de las medidas adoptadas durante la pandemia por COVID-19 fue el confinamiento.
Objetivo: Identificar los cambios en el estilo de vida y nutrición durante el confinamiento por SARS-COV-2 en pacientes adultos infectados con VIH.
Materiales y método: Estudio transversal, observacional y descriptivo con una muestra de 241 pacientes adultos con VIH que acudieron a UCETI. Se aplicó un cuestionario que constó de: datos generales, nutrición, bienestar y estilo de vida. Para la construcción de la base de datos se utilizó Microsoft Excel. Se utilizó tablas y gráficos para presentar los resultados.
Resultados: El 78.8% de los pacientes eran hombres, el 75.1% solteros y el 69.7% tenían entre 18 y 39 años. Aumentó el desempleo en 31.1%, el sedentarismo en 25.4%, el número de personas que dormían más de 10 horas al día en 22.4% y la frecuencia del consumo de productos de panadería en 4.2%.
Conclusiones: La mayoría de pacientes eran hombres solteros de entre 18 a 39 años quienes durante la pandemia experimentaron disminución de ingresos mensuales, aumento del sedentarismo y tiempo de sueño. Además, aumentó el consumo de productos de panadería y disminuyó la ingesta de carne, frutas, alcohol y comida rápida.
To identify changes in lifestyle and nutrition during SARS-COV-2 lockdown in adult patients infected with HIV. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional, observational, and descriptive study with a sample of 241 adult HIV-infected patients who attended UCETI. A questionnaire covering general information, nutrition, well-being, and lifestyle was administered. Microsoft Excel was used for database construction. Tables and graphs were employed to present the results. Results: 78.8% of the patients were male, 75.1% were single, and 69.7% were between 18 and 39 years old. Unemployment increased by 31.1%, sedentary behavior by 25.4%, the number of people sleeping more than 10 hours a day by 22.4%, and the frequency of bakery product consumption by 4.2%. Conclusions: The majority of patients were single men aged 18 to 39, who experienced a decrease in monthly income, increased sedentary behavior, and extended sleep duration during the pandemic. Additionally, there was an increase in the consumption of bakery products and a decrease in the intake of meat, fruits, alcohol, and fast food.
