| dc.description | This research correlational quantitative cross-cut was to determine the relationship between the degree of functional dependence and self-esteem of seniors, we worked with a sample of 91 seniors, belonging to the district of Guadalupe - Province Pacasmayo, to whom I applied the scale of assessment of the degree of dependency of the elderly (ADL) and the rating scale of self-esteem of the elderly, the evaluation was custom, at their homes and were conducted during July - August 2015. The results showed that the highest percentage (73.6%) of seniors have moderate functional dependence, (23.1%) have functional independence and a lower percentage (3.3%) have functional dependence; in relation to self-esteem the highest percentage (61.5%) of seniors have a low level of self-esteem; while (38.5%) have a high level of self-esteem. There is a significant relationship between the degree of functional dependence and self-esteem of older adults. | es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación de tipo cuantitativo correlacional de corte transversal tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el grado de dependencia funcional y el nivel de autoestima de los adultos mayores, se trabajó con una muestra de 91 adultos mayores, pertenecientes al distrito de Guadalupe – provincia de Pacasmayo, a quienes se le aplico la escala de valoración del grado de dependencia del adulto mayor (ABVD) y la escala de valoración del nivel de autoestima del adulto mayor, la evaluación fue personalizada, en sus domicilios y se realizó durante los meses julio – agosto 2015. Los resultados evidenciaron que el más alto porcentaje (73.6%) de adultos mayores poseen dependencia funcional moderada, el (23.1%) presentan independencia funcional y un menor porcentaje (3.3%) presentan dependencia funcional; en relación al nivel de autoestima el mayor porcentaje (61.5%) de adultos mayores presentan un nivel de autoestima baja; mientras que el (38.5%) presentan un nivel de autoestima alta. Existe una relación significativa entre el grado de dependencia funcional y el nivel de autoestima de los adultos mayores. | es_PE |
