dc.descriptionThe present research was carried out in the experimental area of the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA), located in the sector of Chuin Alto, district of Paijan, province of Ascope, this annex belongs to the Station Experimental Agraria Vista Florida in Chiclayo. The objective was to evaluate the yield, agronomic and morphological characteristics of five genotypes of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp). The sowing took place on April 7, 2016 and the harvest on July 22 of the same year. The experiment was carried out under the experimental design of randomized complete blocks (DBCA) with five genotypes of cowpea as treatments and three replicates for each treatment. In the test, CAR 3005, CAR 3006 and CAR 3015 were installed as promising lines against commercial varieties INIA - Vaina Blanca and INIA 432 - Vaina Verde as controls. The parameters evaluated were grain yield, number of plants per square meter, number of full, empty and deformed pods per plant, number of grains per pod, weight of 100 grains, plant height and pod length. The yields of the genotypes CAR 3005 with 3,496.30 kg.ha-1, CAR 3015 with 3,385.20 kg.ha-1, Vaina Verde with 3,351.80 kg.ha-1 and Vaina Blanca with 3,281.40 kg.ha-1, were statistically and superior to CAR 3006. Likewise, the genotypes CAR 3015 and Vaina Verde yielded 25.80 g and 25.53 g respectively by weight of 100 grains and were statistically superior to CAR 3005, Vaina Blanca and CAR 3006. No significant differences were found in the other study variables.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en el área experimental del Instituto Nacional de Innovación Agraria (INIA), localizado en el sector de Chuín Alto, distrito de Paiján, provincia de Ascope, este anexo pertenece a la Estación Experimental Agraria Vista Florida en Chiclayo. El objetivo fue evaluar el rendimiento, características agronómicas y morfológicas de cinco genotipos de frijol caupí (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.). La siembra se llevó a cabo el día 7 de abril de 2016 y la cosecha el día 22 de julio del mismo año. El experimento se realizó bajo el diseño experimental de bloques completos al azar (DBCA) con cinco genotipos de frijol caupí como tratamientos y tres repeticiones por cada tratamiento. En el ensayo se instaló CAR 3005, CAR 3006 y CAR 3015 como líneas promisorias frente a las variedades comerciales INIA - Vaina Blanca e INIA 432 – Vaina Verde como testigos. Los parámetros evaluados fueron: rendimiento en grano, número de plantas por metro cuadrado, número de vainas llenas, vacías y deformes por planta, número de granos por vaina, peso de 100 granos, altura de planta, y longitud de vaina. Los rendimientos de los genotipos CAR 3005 con 3,496.30 kg.ha-1, CAR 3015 con 3,385.20 kg.ha-1, Vaina Verde con 3,351.80 kg.ha-1 y Vaina Blanca con 3,281.40 kg.ha-1, fueron iguales estadísticamente y superiores a CAR 3006. Asimismo, los genotipos CAR 3015 y Vaina Verde lograron 25.80 g y 25.53 g respectivamente por peso de 100 granos y fueron estadísticamente superiores a CAR 3005, Vaina Blanca y CAR 3006. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en las otras variables de estudio.es_PE
