Abstract
Abstract Given the appearance of the latest SARS COV-2 pandemic, an increase in cases of Acinetobacter baumanii infection was reported in patients who were hospitalized with acute respiratory failure infection requiring supplemental oxygen, requiring mechanical ventilation in critical cases. Worldwide, studies were carried out to find the best management with the least amount of possible sequelae, factors associated with a more critical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 were studied and superinfections as well as coinfections by different types of pathogens among bacteria were reported. other viruses and fungi, however in its informative notes and updates to its manuals the World Health Organization mentions there is insufficient information on the prevalence of acute coinfections or secondary infections in patients with SARS COV 2. The studies carried out reported coinfection with A. baumannii infections, where 75% of these came from the ICU, the rest of the general areas mention predictive factors for admission to the ICU, taking into consideration mainly age, sex and the number of comorbidities that predispose to higher mortality such as Diabetes. , immunosuppression, chronic renal failure, chronic lung disease, chronic cardiovascular disease, chronic liver disease, neurodegenerative disease, also other factors such as the use of mechanical ventilation, urinary catheter, central venous catheter and corticosteroids, in our social context because our population is Peruvian. of socioeconomic, cultural and racial characteristics is diverse, different from that of other countries, the identification and demonstration of these factors will provide the bases for new scientific knowledge in the area of Peruvian medicine.
