dc.descriptionThe present report aims to determine the frequency of the thyroid profile in patients who visited the Quintanilla Laboratory in Trujillo, march 2016 - march 2017, accessed the database system used by the laboratory to register patients. The sample consisted of 974 patients who underwent thyroid examination. The frequency of the thyroid profile according to gender was higher in females than in males with a percentage of 83.26% and 16.74% respectively. The frequency of thyroid profile by age was higher between the ages of 28 and 37 years in women with a percentage of 23.72% and in men between 38 and 47 years with a percentage of 4.11%. The most frequent thyroid tests were: TSH with 48.61% and free T4 with 39.38%; finally thyroid profile levels were most frequently found in normal ranges, 64.55% in women and 14.12% in men. All these results with a p <0.05 which is statistically significantes_PE
dc.description.abstractEl presente informe tiene como objetivo determinar la frecuencia del perfil tiroideo en pacientes que acudieron al Laboratorio Quintanilla de Trujillo, marzo 2016 - marzo 2017, se accedió al sistema de base de datos que el laboratorio utiliza para registrar a los pacientes. La muestra fue de 974 pacientes que se realizaron exámenes de perfil tiroideo. La frecuencia del perfil tiroideo según sexo fue mayor en mujeres que en varones con un porcentaje de 83,26% y 16,74% respectivamente. La frecuencia de perfil tiroideo por edad, fue mayor entre las edades de 28 a 37 años en mujeres con un porcentaje de 23,72% y en varones entre 38 a 47 años con un porcentaje de 4,11%. Las pruebas del perfil tiroideo con mayor frecuencia fueron: TSH con un 48,61% y T4 libre con un 39,38%, finalmente los niveles de perfil tiroideo con mayor frecuencia se encontraron en rangos normales, 64,55% en mujeres y 14,12% en varones. Todo estos resultados con un p <0,05 que es estadísticamente significativoes_PE
