Abstract
ABSTRACT The present investigation was carried out during the months of September 2018 to August 2019, in the Llaturpamba village, located in the district of Santa Cruz de Chuca, province of Santiago de Chuco, La Libertad Region; located at 2800 m.s.n.m., is dominated by the local steppe climate. There is little rainfall throughout the year, the approximate average precipitation is 466 mm, the annual average temperature is 12.5 ° C. The study's objectives were to evaluate the effect of three levels of guano from the islands; as well as determining the best level that allows obtaining the highest yield of Hordeum vulgare L. var. INIA 411 - San Cristóbal. The randomized complete block design was used, with four treatments and three repetitions. The treatments used were: 600 kg/ha-1 (T1), 900 kg/ha-1 (T2), 1200 kg/ha-1 (T3) of guano from the islands, respectively; and, a control without application of guano from the islands (T0). The statistical evaluation was based on the analysis of variance; and Tukey's test, at 5% significance. The results showed that the treatments under study have produced different performance; and that with the T3 treatment, the best yield of 2920 kg/ha-1 of barley var. INIA 411 - San Cristóbal.
