dc.descriptionThe research work had the objective to describe nursing care of older adults patients hospitalized from the perspective of professional nursing and reflect on their wisdom and endeavour, also make a proposal theoretical-practical for the care of the elderly. The theoretical support is constituted by the theoretical perspectives of human care of Boff (1999), Waldow (1998). This study is qualitative, exploratory-descriptive; the same that helped capture the object of study from the daily chore of nurses. The collection of data was be made through the semi-structured interview and participant observations, the sample of the study were 10 nurses who care to adult and were determined by saturation of information. From the analysis of the speech the results were organized into three categories: 1) The body care sick in the demonstration of his illness, from the perspective of body-object that need of care in their physiological needs 2) The care through the talks as an inter-human relationship, identified by the communication, information, guidance care. 3) The nursing in situations and situations of care and not care, with these subcategories: a) Resonances of care, evidenced by affection, empathy and therapeutic touch. b) Dissonances of care, with indicatives like: abandonment, neglect, lack of time, little information. The results show strengths and weaknesses of the nurses in the assistence of the older adults, it identifies the need to integrate knowledge to approximate that practice to holistic care to avoid the technician care devalues humanized care; so it is required to expand opportunities for continuous training and reflection on the knowledge and practice of nursing, deepen the knowledge of the theoretical bases of humanization of care that support the reason of being of the profession and find balance between the technical care and humane care.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo describir el cuidado de enfermería en pacientes adultos mayores hospitalizados desde la perspectiva del profesional de enfermería y reflexionar sobre su saber y quehacer, así mismo realizar una propuesta teórica- práctica para el cuidado asistencial de las personas mayores. El soporte teórico lo constituyen las perspectivas teóricas de cuidado humano de Boff (1999), Waldow (1998). El estudio es cualitativo, exploratorio-descriptivo, el mismo que permitió captar el objeto de estudio a partir del quehacer cotidiano del enfermero. La recolección de datos se hizo a través de la entrevista semi estructurada y la observación participante, la muestra del estudio fueron 10 enfermeros y enfermeras que cuidan al adulto mayor y se determinó por saturación de información. A partir del análisis del discurso se organizó los resultados en tres categorías: 1) El cuidado del cuerpo enfermo en la manifestación de su dolencia, desde la perspectiva de cuerpo-objeto que necesita de atención en sus necesidades fisiológicas. 2) El cuidado a través de la conversa como una relación inter-humana, identificado por la comunicación, información, orientación del cuidado. 3) La enfermera en situaciones de cuidado y no cuidado, con las subcategorías: a) resonancias del cuidado, evidenciado por afecto, empatía y toque terapéutico. b) Disonancias del cuidado, con indicativos: abandono, descuido, falta de tiempo, escasa información. Los resultados evidencian fortalezas y debilidades de las enfermeras en la asistencia al adulto mayor, se identifica la necesidad de integrar saberes para aproximar la práctica al cuidado holístico y evitar que el cuidado técnico desvalorice los cuidados humanizados; se requiere ampliar espacios de capacitación continua y reflexión sobre el saber y la práctica de enfermería, profundizar los conocimientos de las bases teóricas de humanización de los cuidados que sustentan la razón de ser de la profesión y encontrar equilibrio entre el cuidado técnico y cuidado humanizado.es_ES
