dc.descriptionIn the present investigation the following problem was identified: What is the relationship of inflation and unemployment in the La Libertad region, period 2001-2017? The main objective is to determine the relationship between inflation and unemployment in the La Libertad region, period 2001-2017. Using the theory proposed by Phillips. The research hypothesis indicates that inflation and unemployment are inversely related in the La Libertad region, 2001-2017, the design of contrast is non-experimental, longitudinal, correlational; which describes the evolution of the behavior of the variables (inflation and unemployment) in the different periods, based on historical and statistical information obtained during the study period. The result obtained from the estimation of the multiple regression model complies with its theoretical assumptions therefore the estimated model is adequate. Also the errors do not show heterocedasticity and there is no self-correlation. In this research, the Phillips theory for the La Libertad region is corroborated, reaching the following conclusion: the inverse relationship between inflation and unemployment, estimating that for every one percentage point of increase in unemployment decreases by 0.93 percentage points to inflation being statistically significant.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEn la presente investigación se identificó el siguiente problema: ¿Cuál es la relación de la inflación y el desempleo en la región La Libertad, periodo 2001-2017? El objetivo principal es determinar la relación entre inflación y desempleo en la región La Libertad, periodo 2001-2017. Utilizando la teoría propuesta por Phillips. La hipótesis de la investigación indica que la Inflación y el desempleo se relacionan inversamente en la región La Libertad, 2001-2017, el diseño de contrastación es no experimental, longitudinal, correlacional; que describe la evolución del comportamiento de las variables (inflación y desempleo) en los distintos periodos, a partir de información histórica y estadística obtenida durante el periodo de estudio. El resultado obtenido a partir de la base de datos; utilizando el modelo de la curva de Phillips (teoría basada en la metodología de modelos econométricos dinámicos: modelos de regresión múltiple), la evaluación econométrica, estadística y económica se puede afirmar que la relación entre la inflación y el desempleo es significativa y tienen una relación inversa. En la presente investigación se corrobora la teoría de Phillips para la región La Libertad llegando a la siguiente conclusión: la relación inversa entre inflación y desempleo, estimándose que por cada un punto porcentual de aumento del desempleo disminuye en 0.93 puntos porcentuales a la inflación siendo estadísticamente significativo.es_PE
