dc.descriptionIntroduction: Syndrome Teenagers with Down syndrome, are little explored age group in whom great physical, psychological and reproductive little understood and addressed by parents, accordingly changes occur, they are a public health problem. The aim was to describe and analyze the experiences of parents in the care of the teenager with Down syndrome. Theoreticians: Leonardo Boff, for human, care: concepts of Down with adolescent Syndrome, parents and experiences. Methodology: descriptive, qualitative investigation; in an Special center Of Education. : Participants seven teenager parents with Down Syndrome. Harvesting the information with the semistructured interview; for the test, test the theme. Results: Two categories: 1. Participate in the achievements in the care of teenage son with Down Syndrome.: Sub Categories 1. 1. The Learning escort for the satisfaction of their physical needs. 1. 2. The Learning escort to the satisfaction of the affectionate needs. 1. 3. Breaking myths to face the needs of sexuality. 2. Building the meaning of being parents of a Teenage son with Down Syndrome.: Sub Categories 2. 1. My son as the center of the Family. 2. 2. Prepare them for your autonomy. Final considerations: The parents to give care to their son Down Syndrome, had to face challenges, time, patience and tolerance. They satisfy with needs feeding, hygiene, and dress to be related to the beginning was all stiff and a challenge, but finally, the greatest satisfaction, came to see his teenage guys with abilities, that allowed his autonomy. dc.description.abstractIntroducción: Los adolescente con Síndrome Down, son un grupo etáreo poco explorado, en quienes se producen grandes cambios, físicos, psicológicos y reproductivos, poco comprensibles y abordados por los padres, por tal razón, constituyen un problema de salud pública. El objetivo fue describir y analizar las vivencias de los padres en el cuidado del hijo adolescente con síndrome de Down. Teóricos: Leonardo Boff, para el cuidado humano y, conceptos de: Adolescente con Síndrome de Down, padres y vivencias. Metodología: investigación cualitativa, descriptiva; escenario: centro de Educación Básica Especial; participantes: siete padres de hijos adolescentes con Síndrome de Down. La recolección de información, se hizo con la entrevista semiestructurada; para el análisis, se utilizó el análisis temático. Resultados: dos categorías: 1.Participando de los logros en el cuidado del hijo adolescente Down. Subcategorías: 1.1. Acompañando el aprendizaje de la satisfacción de sus necesidades físicas; 1.2. Acompañando en la satisfacción de sus necesidades afectivas y 1.3. Rompiendo mitos para de afrontar las necesidades de sexualidad. Categoría 2. Construyendo el significado de ser padres de un hijo adolescente Down. Subcategorías: 2.1. Mi hijo como centro de vida de la familia y 2.2. Preparándolos para su autonomía. Consideraciones finales: los padres para brindar los cuidados a su hijo con SD, tuvieron que afrontar retos, tiempo, paciencia y tolerancia; para satisfacer las necesidades de alimentación, higiene y vestido, relatando que al inicio fue duro y todo un desafío, pero finalmente, la mayor satisfacción, fue el de ver a sus hijos adolescentes con habilidades, que permitieron su autonomía; pero siempre con supervisión.es_ES
