dc.descriptionThe present work determined the population structure of Microlophus peruvianus "lizard of the beaches". It was realized in the supralitoral of the district of Huanchaco, province of Trujillo, La Libertad, conformed by communities of Gramadales, Humedales, Balsares de Totora and Prickly desert matorral adjacent to the supralittoral. With a Systematic Randomized Sampling, the sampling units (transects in strip) established (January - April, 2017) were located and georeferenced in the work area. Three replications were carried out in both sampled sectors: the supralittoral of Huanchaquito and the Supralitoral of Huanchaco - Totoral de Huanchaco. M. peruvianus, has a total density of 640.43 individuals per square kilometer (6.4 ind / Ha). Shows a population structural composition in three age groups: Small, juvenile and adult, in a proportion of 1, 3.15 and 11.62, respectively. Regarding the proportion of sexes, we have that for a male there are 1.6 females, indicating that there are more females. M. peruvianus, makes use of 13 microhabitats out of the 20 available, in the supralitoral area of Huanchaco, whose niche amplitude or niche use is low, with B = 6.69, which is equivalent to 33.46%.es_PE
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo determinó la estructura poblacional de Microlophus peruvianus “lagartija de las playas”. Se realizó en el supralitoral del distrito de Huanchaco, provincia de Trujillo, La Libertad, conformado por comunidades de Gramadales, Humedales, Balsares de Totora y Matorral desértico espinoso adyacente al supralitoral. Con un Muestreo Estratificado Sistemático Aleatorizado, se ubicaron y georeferenciaron las Unidades de Muestreo (transectos en franja) establecidas (Enero - Abril del 2017) en el área de trabajo. Se llevaron a cabo tres repeticiones en ambos sectores muestreados: El supralitoral de Huanchaquito y el Supralitoral de Huanchaco – Totoral de Huanchaco. M. peruvianus, presenta una densidad total de 640.43 individuos por kilómetro cuadrado (6.4 ind/Ha). muestra una composición estructural poblacional en tres grupos etáreos: Pequeños, juveniles y adultos, en una proporción de 1, 3.15 y 11.62, respectivamente. Respecto a la proporción de sexos, se tiene que para un macho hay 1.6 hembras, indicando que hay mayor cantidad de hembras. M. peruvianus, hace uso de 13 microhábitats de los 20 disponibles, en el supralitoral del distrito de Huanchaco, cuya amplitud de nicho o uso de nicho es baja, con B=6.69, que equivale al 33.46 %.es_PE
