Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the degree of association between the management of hospital solid waste (HSW) and the health of workers in a health center in Chicama, in 2024. The study was of an applied type, with a non-experimental design. and descriptive-correlational, using a quantitative approach. The study population, considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, consisted of 78 workers, both healthcare and administrative, from a health center in Chicama. Data collection was carried out through the survey technique, using a questionnaire based on the Likert scale, which consisted of 20 items. The research results, intended to demonstrate the general hypothesis, were statistically determined using Spearman's Rho correlation. The coefficient value was 0.764, which indicates a high, direct and significant correlation (p=0.000/p<0.05), allowing us to reject the null hypothesis and accept the research hypothesis. Thus, by improving the management of HSW, the health of workers will also improve, given their commitment.".
