dc.descriptionABSTRACT The objetive of this research was to determine the antibacterial effect of Eucalyptus globulus essential oil on Porphyromonas gingivalis colonies ATCC 33277 in vitro. The study was developed in the environments of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology, of the Antonio Guillermo Urrelo Private University, and in the InvBiomed Laboratory (Biomedical Research Center E.I.R.L.) located in Cajamarca, Peru. The sample consisted of 10 replicates for each concentration at 0.78%; 1.56%; 3.13%; 6.25%; 12.5%; 25%; 50% and 100% of Eucalyptus globolus, control + (chlorhexidine gluconate 0.12%), control - (ethyl alcohol 96 °) and sterility control, the bacterial sensitivity or resistance was determined through the diffusion method Of discs, determining the inhibitory halos according to the Duraffourd Scale; And to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration was use the dilution test in liquid medium by the presence or absence of turbidity. In vitro antibacterial effect of Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus) essential oil was found on the colonies of Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277. The concentrations without bacterial growth were 50% and 100%, which did not show statistically significant differences with respect to C + and CE (P> 0.05) but with respect to C- (p <0.05). It was concluded that there is an antibacterial effect of Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus) essential oil on the colonies of Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 in vitro.es_PE
dc.description.abstractRESUMEN El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto antibacteriano del aceite esencial del Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) sobre de colonias de Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 in vitro. El estudio se desarrolló en los ambientes del laboratorio de Tecnología Farmacéutica, de la Universidad Privada Antonio Guillermo Urrelo, y en el Laboratorio InvBiomed (Centro de Investigaciones Biomédicas E.I.R.L.) ubicados en Cajamarca, Perú. La muestra estuvo constituida por 10 repeticiones por cada concentración al 0,78 %; 1,56 %; 3,13 %; 6,25 %; 12,5 %; 25 %; 50 % y 100% de Eucalyptus globolus, control + (gluconato de clorhexidina al 0,12%), control – (alcohol etílico 96°) y control de esterilidad, para determinar la sensibilidad o resistencia bacteriana se determinó a través del método de difusión de discos, determinándose los halos inhibitorios de acuerdo a la Escala de Duraffourd; y para determinar la concentración mínima inhibitoria se determinó a través del test de dilución en medio líquido mediante la presencia o ausencia de turbidez. Se encontró efecto antibacteriano in vitro del aceite esencial del Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) sobre las colonias de Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277. Las concentraciones sin crecimiento bacteriano fueron las del 50% y 100%, las cuales no mostraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas respecto a C+ y a C.E (p>0.05) pero si respecto a C- (p<0.05). Se concluye que existe efecto antibacteriano in vitro del aceite esencial del Eucalyptus globulus (eucalipto) sobre las colonias de Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277 in vitro.es_PE
