Abstract
Reconocida como �Cultura Matriz de la Civilizaci�n Andina� correspondiente al Primer Horizonte u Horizonte Temprano entre los 2500 a.C al 500 a.C. Los Chav�n alcanzaron un extraordinario dominio de la piedra, material que emplearon para hacer construcciones, esculturas y relieves de impresionantes aspectos y caracter�stico estilo. Es notable el nivel de desarrollo que alcanzaron en agricultura, arquitectura y cer�mica, as� como en su capacidad administrativa, lo que permiti� dominar gran parte del norte y el centro del Per�. Julio C. Tello su descubridor plante� que la Cultura Chav�n fue de origen amaz�nico debido a las m�ltiples representaciones de la iconograf�a selv�tica en sus manifestaciones art�sticas, especialmente en la cer�mica. En su m�ximo apogeo Chav�n de Hu�ntar, centro principal chav�n, actual Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, fue un importante centro ceremonial y centro de irradiaci�n cultural cuya influencia se extendi� por gran parte de la costa y sierra de los andes peruanos.

Grateful as "Main Culture of the Andean Civilization" corresponding to the First Horizon of Early Horizon among the 2500 a.c to 500 BC. The Chav�n reached an extraordinary domain of the Stone, mastery of the stone, material /that you/they used to make constructions, sculptures and reliefs of impressive aspects and characteristic style. It is remarcable the development leven wath you/they achieved in agriculture, architecture and ceramics, as well as in their administrative capacity, what a llowed to dominate great part of northern and central Peru. Julio C. Tello, his discoverer outlined that the culture Chav�n was of Amazonian origin due to the multiple representations of the wild iconography in its artistic manifestations, especially in the ceramics. In their maximun acme Chav�n of Hu�ntar,nmain center patrimony of the of Humanity, was an important center ceremonial and center of cultural irradiation whose influence extended for great part of the coast and mountains of the Peruvian Andes.
