Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación titulado “INFLUENCIA DE LA GESTIÓN POR
COMPETENCIAS EN EL DESEMPEÑO LABORAL DEL PERSONAL DOCENTE
DEL COLEGIO PARTICULAR CEPAE – TRUJILLO”, tiene como objetivo principal
determinar si el modelo de gestión por competencias influye en el desempeño laboral
de los profesores que laboran en la institución. Se empleó un diseño de investigación
pre experimental, haciendo uso de cuestionarios con escala de Likert para obtener
información respecto al nivel de ambas variables. Participaron 20 docentes de los
tres niveles educativos a quienes se les aplicó el modelo de gestión por competencias
participando en el planeamiento y difusión del plan estratégico, en la identificación de
competencias y la capacitación por competencias. Ello sirvió para incrementar el
desempeño laboral en los docentes pasando de un nivel medio a alto en promedio.
Para conocer la influencia se utilizó el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson por
presentar datos normales, obteniéndose un resultado de 0.804 por lo que se concluyó
una fuerte relación positiva y significativa entre la gestión por competencias y
desempeño laboral. Finalmente, se recomienda mantener una constante
retroalimentación, actualización y mejora del modelo presentado en base a los
nuevos conocimientos y necesidades que se presentarán a lo largo del tiempo.
The present research work entitled “INFLUENCE OF COMPETENCY MANAGEMENT ON THE WORK PERFORMANCE OF TEACHING STAFF AT CEPAE PRIVATE SCHOOL – TRUJILLO”, has as its main objective to determine if the competency management model influences the work performance of teachers working at the institution. A pre-experimental research design was used, using questionnaires with a Likert scale to obtain information regarding the level of both variables. 20 teachers from the three educational levels participated, to whom the competency management model was applied, participating in the planning and dissemination of the strategic plan, in the identification of competencies and in competency training. This served to increase the work performance of teachers from a medium to a high level on average. To know the influence, the Pearson correlation coefficient was used for presenting normal data, obtaining a result of 0.804, which concluded a strong positive and significant relationship between competency management and work performance. Finally, it is recommended to maintain constant feedback, updating and improvement of the presented model based on new knowledge and needs that will arise over time.
