dc.descriptionThe aim of this study was to determine the effect of three levels of vitamin C on increasing weight of Cavia porcellus “guinea pig” in the stage of growth and fattening. About 120 male guinea pigs (14 days +/- 3 days) were used; were randomly distributed in 4 treatments with 30 repetitions: T0: Concentrated + commercial + feed + water, T1: Commercial + Concentrate + 45mg of Vit C / 100g of food + water, T2: Commercial + Concentrate + 55mg of Vit C / 100g of food + water and T3: Commercial + Concentrate + Vit C 66mg / 100g of food + water. The experiment took 42 days, evaluating the growing weight on the increase (IPC) and fattening (IPE), daily increase (ID), weekly increase (IS) and increase in final weight (IPF) and benefit / cost (B / C) . Statistically it analyzed with the test of homogeneity of variance Léveme, ANOVA and Duncan test. The results indicate highly significant differences (p <0.01) between IPC treatments with 190.367 for T0 and T3, T2 and T1; was observed a highly significant of fattening (p <0.01) with 512,767g for T1 and T2, T0 and T3 respectively. In the ID, IS and CA were no significant differences (p> 0.05). To IPF was found significant differences (p <0.05) between treatments, with 632.933 g for T1 and T2, T0 and T3 respectively. The best value B / C was awarded to the T1 (1.48). It is concluded that the Vit. C at 45 mg / 100 g of concentrate + water had the greatest effect on weight gains of the guinea pigs in the stage of growth and fattening and the best cost benefit ratio.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar el efecto de tres niveles de vitamina C de un concentrado comercial sobre el incremento de peso de Cavia porcellus “cuy” en la etapa de crecimiento y engorde. Se utilizaron 120 cuyes machos destetados (14 días +/- 3 días); fueron distribuidos al azar en 4 tratamientos con 30 repeticiones: T0: Concentrado comercial +forraje + agua, T1: Concentrado comercial + 45mg de Vit C /100g de alimento + agua, T2: Concentrado comercial +55mg de Vit C /100g de alimento + agua y T3: Concentrado comercial + 66mg de Vit C /100g de alimento + agua. El experimento duro 42 días, evaluándose el incremento de peso en crecimiento (IPC) y engorde (IPE), incremento diario (ID), incremento semanal (IS) e incremento de peso final (IPF) y Beneficio/costo (B/C). Estadísticamente se analizó con la prueba de homogeneidad de varianza de Léveme, ANOVA y prueba de Duncan. Los resultados indican diferencias altamente significativas (p<0,01) entre tratamientos para IPC con 190,367 g para T0 frente a T3, T2 y T1; en engorde se observó diferencias altamente significativas (p<0,01) con 512,767g para T1 frente a T2, T0 y T3 respectivamente. En el ID, IS y CA no se observó diferencias significativas (p>0,05). Para el IPF se encontró diferencias significativas (p<0,05) entre tratamientos con 632,933 g para T1 frente a T2, T0 y T3. La mejor relación B/C lo obtuvo el T1 (1,48). Se concluye que la Vit. C a razón de 45 mg /100 g de concentrado + agua tuvo el mayor efecto sobre los incrementos de peso de los cuyes en la etapa de crecimiento y engorde y la mejor relación beneficio costo.es_ES
